ZC v. Y8 revisited

Well,
Long story short, I got beat by the ZC CRX we all argued about. Not once, but three times I think. I'm wondering if something is wrong w/ my car but i don't believe so. Anyway, I am admitting it before he has a chance to get on here and ridicule me . Way to go Jayce, it was fun.

on the interstate i had about 2-3 cars i think and then from a stop he got the jump and then i pulled like a car or so. at least i'm pretty sure it was that much. i guess kenny will have to answer that since he had a better view from BEHIND!!!! heheh it was fun.

OUCH!! That sounds about right. It was fun. I just bought a FPR so maybe that will help a tiny bit. I think I may be running lean on vtec but who knows. I don't. I don't have an AF gauge, not that they are accurate by any means. But, if in fact it is running lean, raising the fuel pressure will help that out some. Can't wait to get an exhaust also. Damn, I'm running out of excuses!!!:frog:

kenny, at what rpm are you shifting?

i've said it before, i'm saying it again, you guys should switch cars one night and see what happens. i'm extremely interested in the out come. if you are in opposite cars and...

ihaveanSTD (driving the zc) = win
95civicman (driving y8) = lose

that would tell me it is your engine or something within the equation of the set-up (like not having an exhaust). but if 95civicman won again, i would have to chalk it up to driving skills (sorry kenny...just being straight)

and the scary part about that is....i'm all woman :right:

okay so were out cruising around today when we come up on a mid 90's beamer (530i)....lowered on some black rims. we end up next to him and he opens his car up and takes off (to scare us) and then slows down beside us again to try and race. he does this a few times. finally jer had enough of him and took the challange at the next red light. i'm happy to say the y8 hung in. he didn't get more than 1/2 his car in front....that is all the way up into shifting to 4th. at that point he got a full car, almost 2 in front. he should have walked away from the start....maybe next time he won't buy an AT :licker:

Ami, I agree with what you are saying. However, I am a pretty competent driver. I am shifting out at about 7400. My vtec activates right around 5000 rpm. I don't spin like a bitch either. I just got beat fair and square.

An advantage the CRX had is that its more lightweight than the hatch. Im all for the ZC though since Im putting one in my hatch.
