1997 Accord OBD 2 Jumper Wire

I have a question regarding my 1997 Accord I know it's OBD 2 and have the scanner for it but looking under the passenger side dash it has the same 2 pin connector my 1995 OBD 1 has.

Can I jump this 2 pin connector and pull codes on my 97 without a code scanner the same way I do on my 95 or is this connector for something else?

So it's good to know if you don't have a code scanner you can still get the codes with the jumper wire trick.
