how to add A/C compressor oil?
I changed my A/C compressor today for my 2000 V6 Camry. The new compressor dosen't have any oil in it. How much should I add and how do I add it? The place I bought it from said to add 8oz and to take off 1 of the lines that connects to the compressor and pour it in.

Re: how to add A/C compressor oil?
Check the Toyota factory service manual stickied at the top of this forum's home page. The A/C section should give you that information. Here's the link to the manuals:

Re: how to add A/C compressor oil?
If you changed the evaporator, add 40-50 mL (1.4-1.7 oz) "ND - OIL 8".
If you changed the receiver, add 20 mL (0.71 oz) oil. If you changed the condensor, add 40-50 mL (1.4-1.7 oz) oil. The addition of oil is not necessary if you change the compressor. There is no significant hold-up of oil in the compressor.
