Oil pump issues

I have a 89 mustang Coupe conversion I bought about 8 months ago from a guy. Its got a built 302 with a mild cam trick flow intake, gt40 heads bbk headers and H pipe, plus a 150 shot. My problem is after I bought the car and had it about 2 months my oil pump went out. Had it fixed with a high flow pump and mallory shaft. Its been about 4 or 5 months and I was driving today and just lost oil pressure again, like the pump went out. If it is the oil pump again, what would make it go out again. I was running about 70 and just went dead and lost oil pressure. I coasted it home. No smoke and and no loud noises or grinding. Can somebody please give advise. Thanks

Re: Oil pump issues

Welcome to the forum Tjandmelissa. When you said "I was running about 70 and just went dead and lost oil pressure" do you mean the engine lost oil pressure and then quit? What happened to the pump you had to replace? Was the screen plugged up so no oil could get through?
