99 limited lesabre trany slippen
Hi all. I have had 2 friends (not mech.) test drive my Lesabre and both say its the trany. what type of tranys can i use to replace the one in the car now... do i have to have another 99 lesabre trany? or are there other options... and how do i know what to get...
any advice would be greatful... 1st time here and using this forum... thx |

Welcome to AF, call any reputable salvage yard they have interchange books that will tell you what transmissions are direct fits.

When the trans is slippin, you will get a Check Engine Light, with a code. If not, it could be something else. "Trans Slipping" on these transmissions could be a valve body. Common problem with these trans.
Do you have a CEL, or a Code? Which one? Chris.

You need a trans specific scanner to monitor trans function. Take it to a transmission specialists!

agreed... This could be as simple as a PCS issue... The car needs to be scanned...
