Restore 60's chevy pick-up

Hello everyone I have a chevy pick-up that's from about 1964. I want to get it running but not sure what I need to do as it hasn't been started in about 15 years. I know that's terrible but it was my grandfather's and it has been garage kept all that time. First of all I can't find the key anywhere so do I need a new starter or is there a cheaper fix? I would like to know what to do for the engine too. Thank you for all the help.

Re: Restore 60's chevy pick-up

Welcome to AF, just to start it you can hot wire the pos. term. of the coil and jump the starter solenoid direct, new ign switches and keys are not hard to get. Drain the tank, flush the lines, change the oil, may have to go thru the carb as the stale gas probably gummed things up. There are a lot of things to do to get a deal like this back on the road, brakes are one of the biggies, as the wheel cylinders may have frozen up, just to name few of many things that will need att'n.
