Awesome....what engine and transmission? Soon, you'll be able to join the Allpar 200000 mile club.

Re: 1993 Cherokee Sport
I have the inline 6 4.0 engine. Automatic trans. dunno which kind. The service manager at my local dealer told me the same company that made the automatics for Toyota also made the ones for my model year.

Re: 1993 Cherokee Sport
Pretty cool. I bought a 1994 Sport in the summer. It had 187,000. Now turning 200,000 What a great Jeep. Its sad that I am rebuilding my own chevy to give this car to my daughter. Not sad for her, But I will really miss driving it! I will look for another later.
Typical things like starter, water pump, maybe radiator. I had to replace the radiator when I bought it. I was told one thing about Jeeps though that is a nuisance. Seems oil leaks at the oil filter mount is common to Jeeps. I was told to remove the filter mount, clean the seal then goop the snot out of it with Black Max silicone. He was a mechanic for years and almost every Jeep he worked on with this "oil leak" was from the filter holder. Said at the 100,000 mile mark, they leak. I have a leak and thought it was mail seal. But its not coming from there? He told me to check there. Yep. So one weekend I will exactly that. Other than that nuisance, I absolutely love this Jeep!!! And the engines I am told are indestructible. |

Re: 1993 Cherokee Sport
Thanks for the tip! I will check there, as it does have a small leak. bout a pint every 2 months or so. I drive it everyday. Anyone know if they make an ABS headliner for these? Mine is getting all saggy.

Re: 1993 Cherokee Sport
if your oil filter adapter is leaking you need to pull the bolt out and replace the hardened orings trying to goop it with freakin silicone is a fools fix and will definetly start leaking again and the possibility exists of sucking a big glop of silicone into your engines oiling system and causing other problems
