2005 Astro van fuel tank will not fill
Hello,
I have a 2005 Chevy Astro van (cargo) that has 86,000 km on it. All of the sudden, the fuel tank does not want to accept gas. The pump shuts off right away even though the tank is nearly empty. It takes me 10 minutes to put in a just few liters of gas. I tried other pumps and I get the same result. I now have to fill a gas can first and use that to fill my tank. I did notice that the flap on the opening of the tank has shifted to one side. I tried to pry it back to the center with no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Steve Sorry for the multiple posts, I had some internet issues - please delete - thanks Last edited by Fecklar; 05-28-2010 at 10:54 AM. |

The anti-siphon / anti-surge tube may have a problem:
