Ford Escort MK2 Toine Hezemans 1/24

Hello,

I've posted only once ,
I'm a member for some years from the forum, but never posted any models.
So with this I'll let you see one of my models.

It's the MK2 Ford Escort driven by Toine Hezemans, in the Weisberg livery.

Started from an old ESCI body, bodyparts made with plasticard.
Decals are made with CorelDraw. ( I don't have much experience with drawing, so I kept it very simple )

I got the body from a friend who would throw it away!
I'm also a great fan of the ESCI car kits, and collector of the kits.

you can get the kit he used as a bases ESCI which you can only find on e-bay or at a swap meet. The other source is Revell AG they have all the old tooling from ESCI and have re-issued it. You can try e-bay or a swap meet also since I tried to look it up in their website and nothing came up. This is the kit from revell:

Hello Ariel,

yes, the REVELL kit is the same as the ESCI kit, the same mouldings, but not produced anymore.
The last one's produced are not that good anymore, and need much sanding and filling.
But after all that time still a very nice kit to build.

I would like to build the Zakspeed Grp5 Escort. I have a Revell Escort and a Tamiya Zakspeed Capri. Hopefully I can make this.

Hello Ariel,

I've build the MAMPE Escort zakspeed about 15 years ago, also using a ESCI body, but started from the Gr.2 version, better known as the D&W-livery. Decals were cut from the Capri MAMPE livery from Tamiya.

I have the Scale produktion car also, but it's not the MAMPE bodykit, the MAMPE is much wider. Picture is also taken a while ago, I have to make some new one's.
Reji has produced this smaller Zakspeed bodykit, as a rally version from Roger Clarck. I don't know if this one is still available?
