2001 Ignition switch/tumbler removal
Hi all
![]() I lost the key for my 2001 chevy cavalier and really can't afford to get a new one right now. I read you can start a car with a screw driver, but you have to remove a certain part first. I removed the cover from behind the steering wheel and couldn't figure it out. I started reading more about cars and learned I should probably disconnect the battery too otherwise I could short out the car's electrical system or the airbag could deploy . So if possible, I need some help as far as how to disconnect the battery without dying and how to get the ignition switch thing out. |
