if this is a OEM stock height vehicle , I would say you must have a complete front end inspection for worn componets..then when all have been replaced you need a front end alignment ...then rotate all tires every 15,ooomi ....with balancing of the tires AFTER the algnment .... if your vehicle has a correct alignment and with tire rotation all tires should have even tire wear across the tread face.... with this being done you will get the maximum service life of the tires....my oem tires I got 93,ooomi....65% worn I then replaced ... also do not use side weghts on the rims ,,,use the stick on weights mounted on the inner rim surface , not on the outer edges....these balancing weights on the rim outer edges fall off... with proper cleaning of the rim surface these stick on weights work great ...wheel surface does not get damaged........ |

if you always have a vibration at speed X this can be tires , bearings, front end componets, drive shafts, worn differential componets , U joints.. has this vehicle been checked for the frame being out of square,,,tracking sideways ? check that the motor//tranny mounts are still good... |

Re: 2006 silverado-225000 miles shakes
I had a very similar problem on an older chevy. I went thru everything. Turned out being the steering stabilizer shock. It only happened at a certain speed. Like you said any faster or any slower and no problems. You would feel it in the vehicle but not really in the steering wheel.

An out-of balance driveshaft or worn out carrier bearing (for the two-piece versions) can be felt through the seat. Hope this helps!
