04 Jetta 1.8tdi WOnt shift while cold.
I have a 04' VW Jetta 1.8TDI and whenever i go to start it while its cold my gear wont go into reverse. But once it warms up i can put my car into reverse. So does that mean i need to change out the tranny filter and fluid?

Re: 04 Jetta 1.8tdi WOnt shift while cold.
I haven't had this issue, so I would suspect it isn't common. It sounds like you need to maybe get an auto savvy friend to give you a second opinion, as it could be quite a few things, and if you don't know anyone who can help you, maybe take it in to autozone and double check everything there. I wish I could help more, but I would have to look at it.
