Welcome to AF.

You need to get it scanned for any ABS/traction control system DTCs which will require an ABS capable scan tool preferably a GM Tech 2. It could be a bad wheel sensor within any of the 4 hubs, wiring or the EBTCM module. The reason why the steering acts up is the EBTCM module controls the Magnasteer variable effort steering. EBCTM = Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module. Also, be sure to check the brake fluid level at the master cylinder.

There are two parts to the Magnasteer system. The actuator at the rack and pinion and the EBCTM. Not a common problem. Can you post the diagnostic trouble code? With a GM Tech 2 it should be a C1XXX code.

Re: 98 buick regal GS supercharger. PROBLEM!!! HELP! PLEASE

looks like I have a similar problem just noticed today..., the ABS light traction control light and service vehicle soon light sometimes come on.

seems to happen while I am turning fairly quickly with my foot lightly on the brake. doesn't happen while driving or stopping in a straight line.

soon as I straighten myself out, all lights go off.

Will probably go get it checked this weekend

Welcome to AF.

Check the electrical connectors at each hub (all 4 wheels) and the wiring harness.

Also, how many miles do you have?
