Brown Spot in Rearview Mirror, moves around.

Ive noticed recently that in the rear view mirror of my 2000 A4 there is a brown spot that resembles a bubble almost. It doesn't stay in one spot, but moves around at an extremely slow rate.

Ive read some horror stories online that it is a chemical in the mirror who's function is the auto-dimmer at night when bright lights are on the mirror from cars behind you and that if the mirror bursts, it eats through your interior. However, all of these stories pertained to Honda Civics and in each story the driver's entire mirror was brown.

Anyone else have this problem with their car at all, Audi or not? I dunno if its the same thing as these Honda Civics or if it is something simple like moisture got behind the mirror.

Tell me what you think.

Known issue. Replace or have refurb'd. Search for Sybesmas Electronics. They'll rebuild your current one. http://www.sybesmas.com/contact.html
