Re: 98 Voyager 3.3 No cooling fans !!
I've never experienced your problem. The neighbors fans stayed on all the time a while back. I changed the cooling fan relay and all was well. Beyond that, the only experience I've had with the system was reading countless posts on several forums over many years.
The fans should turn on either when the engine coolant temp rises above 220 deg. or when A/C pressure reaches 250 psi. That's within seconds of turning it on. The first instance is a forgone conclusion - no fans. How about when you turn on the A/C? Is this an intermittent problem or are the fans dead period? Have you checked the fuse in the PDC? You're answers will determine how best to troubleshoot. Hey! Welcome to the forum. New Hampshire is a beautiful state. I was stationed and Pease AFB in the 80s. Hated to leave.

Re: 98 Voyager 3.3 No cooling fans !!
RIP is right either the relay or the temp sensor by the thermostat are the controllers (unless the fan motor/s are toast). You can try hot wiring directly from the positive battery post to the fan motor connection and see if the motors run (to trouble shoot the fan motor/s).

Re: 98 Voyager 3.3 No cooling fans !!
Thanks for a good starting point. Purchased new relay yesterday. The next day I tackled the job. Started with the under hood fuse box ( PDC ) Located the right 40amp fuse and pulled it and found that it was fine. Next I checked to see if fans were binding or rubbing they also seemed fine. Removed air intake hoses to get better access. Removed 2 screws holding down relay, unplugging the 4 pin plug was the worst part it seemed cemented to the relay
cleaned mounting surface, re-installed scews, re-attached plug, re-installed air in-take hoses. AND FOR THE BESTEST PART OF ALL WAS AFTER 15 MINUTES OF IDLING THE FANS NOW WORK PROPERLY !!!
