Change ATF & filter on 06 Outback at 52k ?

Should I have take my 06 2.5 Outback to the dealer and have the auto transmission flushed and new filter installed with 52k miles? Transmission has a slight hesitation when transmission is put into Drive.

Re: Change ATF & filter on 06 Outback at 52k ?

The filter does not need to be replaced. Subaru does not recommend replacing it. As far as the fluid goes, it should be flushed every 30k-40k miles. I'm not 100% sure if your vehicle is able to have it done but I have done a few transmission relearns on outbacks/foresters for similar concerns. I *think* there is a tsb on it.
