1978 302 heads w/ 1973 2bbl Intake?

Great site, Excellent Info! Ok here we go. I have a 77' F100 with a 302/2 bbl. Now here's were it gets interesting. After pulling the motor I found out I am the owner of 'Franken-Ford'. I have a block out of 78' Lincoln Versaille. Heads off 78' Mustang II. And a 2bbl intake from a 73' Torino. Oh yeah and a timing cover off a 74' Maverick. After installing a gasket kit, and a little paint and re-installing the motor, I had a coolant leak at the rear of the intake. Fortunately I noticed the leak as I was filling the block with fluids, So no big deal. I figured I didn't put enough sealant in that area so I proceeded to pull the distributor, carb, and intake to see what was going on. Well when I installed the intake (not thinking even though I knew the years were different)I put on the intake gaskets for a 77' Ford as per the Felpro instructions(68-76 is one gasket and 77-92 is another) but of course I have 73' intake and a 78' heads so the gaskets are different and now I know the rear ports are obviously different. So I was losing fluid out of a miss-aligned intake and head port. I am doing this project on the cheap and have a wonderful 50 year old salvage yard were I get unbelievably cheap prices on parts and cannot afford a new aluminum intake and 4bbl carb. I am also using the 1" cast carb spacer for my PCV feed and really dont want an EGR unit on the back of the intake. So my question is what other intakes should I hunt for to work with the boat anchor smog heads I am currently using, Mustang only, other post-76" 302's? Or something else I am not thinking of. I am running a 2bbl motorcraft. Thanks in advance, and sorry I laid this Franken-Ford Truck question on the Mustang guys, but I figured I should ask here because of the Mustang II heads. Thanks.
