Question 1990 Manual Rack & Pinion?

I was wondering if anybody knew of a manual rack swap for the 1990 accord. My powersteering pump has been non-functional for some time now. Since I plan to keep the car around for a while, I would like it to pass inspection without giving up my small percentage of extra power. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 1990 Manual Rack & Pinion?

i take it that since no one has replied in 2 days a) either no one has any idea if a part from another honda would fit or b) its not possible. Maybe if i just loop the rack and remove the pump no one will notice.

Re: 1990 Manual Rack & Pinion?

are u talking about a swap from one accord to another or what. I think the racks for the 1990-1993 are all the same so that should work. My boots were busted and steering was hard so i did one on my 90. No problem with steering since then. If looking into a used one make sure the boots on it are intact
