2002 LS V8 Suspension Questions

I have a 2002 LS V8 sport with 154,000 miles on it. I currently need 2 front lower ball joints 16mm if I'm correct & 1 front and 2 rear Stabilizer Sway Bar Links. I just got all of the maintenance records for this car and all of these parts are original so I guess it's about time. What I wanted to know is while I'm at it should I have the struts replaced? I get the clunking noise too that is all over the forums so I thought about the bushings from summit racing. I guess what I'm trying to figured out is the best way to get all of these things done without paying labor charges over & over. I'm trying to think of all of the parts that will be needed ahead of time. I also noticed that the trans has never been serviced but I hear this can be tricky. Aside from these few things the car has been rather trouble free.
