bad MAP sensor?

I have an '01 cherokee that keeps giving me random misfire codes but only after it has warmed up and it's shut down and restarted. I have scanned it with my OBD II tool and here's the info:

Re: bad MAP sensor?

Probably not the MAP sensor. There is likely a conflict between you scanner and the vehicle. If the MAP was reading 0 while the engine was running it would have flagged a code for it. I would focus on cylinders 1 and 3 checking the basics.

Re: bad MAP sensor?

Search on "heat soak". It's a common problem for 2000+ XJs. There's a TSB on it that involved adding an insulator around the #3 injector.

Re: bad MAP sensor?

I saw that TSB and I wrapped all injectors with insulation. I also changed the crankshaft postion sensor, coil rail, throttle position sensor and cleaned the entire throttle body with carb cleaner. The funny thing is that I often get the random misfire code, and the MAP sensor reading is at 0 everytime. If it were the MAP or O2 sensors they should throw a code. Maybe it could still be vapor locking?? What do you think?
