Overdue Project 91 Laser

Well, I used to frequent the forums a lot, then once the laser bent valves and continued having problems, I gave up on it in '05. 5 years later, after working on my wifes car, we decided to pull it around and see how bad the damage was the last time it bent valves.

Long story short, replaced 4 valves again, only to *supposedly* bent 2 more right after it ran then sat overnight.

Ordered a new head, did some tests to it, and to work we went.

The original head still on.

New head arrives

ARP Head studs replace the stock ones.

New head secured to the block.

All done and running!

Driveable, FINALLY!

The odd thing, after pulling the old head off, the valves closed again. Only conclusion I could draw, warped head, or bad guides. Anyway, after all this time, runs like a champ again. The Texas heat did a number to the paint(wasnt the greatest back then either though).

Cool deal. Glad to see you got your car running. Sometimes I get so frustrated in my automobiles that I want to take a 5 year break, lol. But they're usually 3 month breaks.

Glad you got it fixed up and running. Get some new paint on there and that car will look good.
