hello all, trying to get hub off d/s to no avail. seems like its frozen onto the spindle. let it soak for two days with wd40, tried knocking it with hammer....moved on to 5 lb sledge, then to a hub puller. WEEEEEllllll the puller stripped. i tried tightining it hitting ect but it just stripped the inside thredded bar! im thinking of heating the berring area just to try to loosen it, or maby pull apart the cv joint(really dont wanna do that cus never did 1 b/f). so does anybody have any oppionions? t/y Dave

with enough hitting not to hard the shocking of the hammer blows should get the oil in there ...to loosen.. frozen to spindle is the norm / don't want to strees out those cv joints. |
