1997 F150 4.2 Rough Idle When First Cranked - Use This One
Just bought the truck the other day.
When I first crank it up when it is cold, it runs real rough, like it is missing. I give it gas a few times, and it smooths out. It does feel as there is a slight hesitation when you are pulling from a stop, but it is hard to notice. I really have to listen and feel for it to notice it. My main concern is the rough running when I first start it up. I am going to do a tune-up this weekend (plug, wires, filters), but wasn't sure if this could possibly be another issue.
