2005 Ford F-150 4x4 75k on it
My bro in law is having problems with his truck's e brake. I have a chevy and from what I can see they are setup the same. He has 4 wheel disc brakes and if what I'm reading is right it has a little drum inside the back rotors like my chevy. Anyway, he said when he puts the e brake on and then takes it off to drive his truck "hops' really bad for a while in the rear end before it seems to release? Also said his back brakes are "squeaking". I'm going to try to look at it for him tonight but have never had a Ford apart. I'm assuming all of this is caused by something wrong with the e brakes. Any advice or things to look at on it? It is a very very nice truck and he takes very good care of it.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Rob |

Maybe the cable is stuck. Check to make sure the e brake pedal is coming up all the way.
