"Woosh", or vaccuum sound...

i have a 00 bravada with 78k. recently i've noticed that only while the engine is running, there is a variable "woosh", (like shhhhhhhhh...) or possible vaccuum sound coming from down near the pedals. it changes as i accelerate or coast. when i turn the engine off, it does a short "woosh", then stops, even with the key still on. does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? thanks.

Look under there for a vacuum line off.
Does brakes still work good?
If no vacuum line off plug big vacuum hose to brake booster and see if you still hear it.

The vehicle is running great, other than this annoying sound. I'm going to check it out again.

What do you mean about plugging a big vacuum hose to the brake booster? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

If you plug it that will let you know if it is a booster leak.

Tell us if brakes still working good.
