hi all its been a long time. my friend has a 91 sr5 1.8 when he
puts the key in the ignition and tries to turn on the car the only thing that turns on is the cluster the charge light or the dash lights for that matter dont turn on theres no crank not a thing he checked the main relay all the fuses and says the ecu is ok any help for this guy would be appreciated he dont know whats going and niether do i. Thanks ahead for any help

If the battery is at full charge (12.6V), the next thing to check is the battery cable connections and connectors. ( BOTH ends.)
Remove/clean thoroughly ends of the cables and the connections they make. Make sure all grounds (battery, alternator, engine (to chassis) are clean and wrench tight, NOT hand tight. Be sure the drive belt(s) are tight and not slipping and that the alternator is putting out proper carge. If after doing this maintenance the engine still does not turn over, do an ignition system check (perhaps something has come loose). Note: it's not healthy for the wallet if you start throwing parts at a problem in hopes of fixing it. Get a proper diagnosis first.
