OBD Failed -- easy fix

Thought i'd share my experience with the state inspection. The first attempt, I received a paper stating "OBD Failed" I did a bit of research online and found a few helpful tips and also the definition of OBD.
I usually drive the van with fuel economy in mind, so I am really gentle on the gas pedal, rarely sees the engine more than 3000rpm. After reading up on OBD, I have been flooring the crap out of the van for about a week and went for the second attempt at the inspection today. It passed flawless. Hope this helps someone else
cheers
