Question RMS Supercharger on 2002 330i

Need some guidance. I'm considering having the new RMS (E46) Supercharger installed (for about $6K) on a 2002 330i sedan (automatic, with Sports Package). I'm concerned about voiding my BMW factory warranty ... and about the quality of the RMS and the wear-and-tear on the car. I'd appreciate any comments ... especially from those who've had experience with RMS (Race Marque Systems) and their products. (I plan to test drive one of RMS's supercharged 330s this weekend.)

By the way, I spoke to someone at Dinan, who told me Dinan is NOT planning to develop a supercharger for the E46.

Thanks!

I believe that in general bmw frowns upon turbo and super charging. thats why they typically dont put them in their automobiles.

"BMW considers turbos or superchargers to be low-tech shortcuts to power, horsepower solutions unfit for a flagship engine. Blowers, they say, add weight and complexity and reduce throttle response. Ask a BMW engineer if the V-12 might one day be turbocharged, and you'll get a scowl and a curt, "Nein!""

of course you cant believe everything car and driver says, but i think it is mostly right in this case. and also since your car is an automatic i think it would be almost pointless, even though you have the steptronic. . .
