1997 pontiac gp ball joint repair
yes, i replaced my front disc brakes and noticed my tires have a 1/16" -1/8" play as i move it up and down. does this indicate that my ball joints are going bad? or other parts on front is going bad also? if you have any information on the repair please let me know where i can find it. the car has 204,000 miles only hubs has been replaced.

Best way to check the ball joints is to use a floor jack and jack one front wheel at a time placing jack under lower control arm. Once the wheel is off the ground take a bar and place it under the tire and applu upward pressure, if there is any movement in the wheel you have a faulty ball joint.
