Bling-blingin'

That's right, Twenty-Fo's dat spin. Or in English: Jadatoys now has "Spintek" rims. 1/18 and 1/24 scale rims that keep spinnin when you stop. These are 1/18, but theres a Limited Edition 1/24 Escalade with these babies. :flash: :flash:

I hate them wheels! Why would you bother wasting the money on them? Speaking of money how much do they cost for a model?

Don't feel too bad. I saw a set a couple weeks ago on a parked Yukon Denali. I damn near had a wreck looking at them!

The wheels appear to be spinning while the vehicle is setting still. It's some type of two piece design and the outer "layer" of the wheel spins freely. Damn disturbing the first time you see them if you ask me.

W*H*Y*???????????????????????

You fit aftermarket wheels to lower the unsuspended weigth, and improve the cars handling. As those things must be hevy as led, they are pointless. But if you like them, go for it.:machinegu

The real wheels are actually not that heavy just b/c they have the spinner on them. The wheel is heavy b/c of its size, but its still not that heavy. The spinners are just a gyro which in retrospect is nothing special and makes you quesiton why they took so long to make something like that with "old" technology.

http://www.jadatoys.com/ makes them. I don't think they sell the Spintek rims by themselves (yet). But I'm sure they will in the future.

I think the real ones would be pretty damn heavy. A "Blingin" 20inch rim weighs about 50lbs (22.7kg for you non-Americans ) If you add a couple diameter inches, and the spinning front piece that would be even heavier. So I think the could get over 60lbs per rim!!
