I just bought an X-box the other day, and rented this game. I like it .. any tips on how to advance fairly rapidly in the game?
I started with the Celica 1600GT ... it's almost maxxed out with the available parts. Finally won the Charger, and it's not even close to being maxxed out, and it has 550hp ... blows the tires off through 3rd .. anyways .. If anyone has any tips, I'd be really appreciative Rob |

Mainly just dragging with the Charger. I use the Celica GT 1600 to run everything else. Thats gonna have to change tho, I got everything I can get for it, started at 113hp now at 205hp, and it bangs off the rev-limiter in 5th at 133mph, and the AI starts to walk away from me. I just won the race-bodied Skyline, 70's model. Gonna see what I can do for it. Doesn't allow a turbo on it, so probably max out around 250hp.
Not really much adjustment you can do to the chassis or anything to help you out. Anyways, just looking for some tips, I might have to save some money and buy a better car. Rob |

the only tip that i really know is for dragging. If you change your suspension from whatever it is to soft... you'll get amazing drag starts. It usually cuts off about half a second or so.. depending on the car.. plus i don't think it wears out your tires. (maybe that just draggin in general). I don't have have game personally, but my cousin has an xbox and GT2002.. so that's where i'm getting my information. I've played it a couple times w/ him, and its a pretty good game (yet it doesn't come close to Grand Turismo).. anywho.. i don't wanna start a flame war.. nor go off topic.. and you asked for tips.. and i gave one already.. so.. i'm out.

Man, this game is like most other racing games, the AI is basically a slot car, and they can push you all over the road, no matter where you are, or how fast you are going, or if you were in the "line" first. The only time the AI tries to avoid you, is if you get in front of them, and place your rear bumper in front of their car, otherwise, they don't ever see you. I don't like GT3 for that reason. Hell, even Grand Prix Legends you can "move" the AI from the good line, by driving down inside of him into it.

To use the nitrous, you have to use the button you would use to back up with, I think its Y ... it does work, but I ran slower, when I used it, as it induced mad amounts of wheelspin. *shrug* Rob |

I have played the game for what seems like forever and I cant seem to completely finish any race set. I have a charger and lotus fully upgraded so I am good for the present and late time races. I have done all the race sets but they just keep droning on. The only thing I really completed was some of the license tests.
