1993 engine swap
FORGETTING ABOUT THE FUEL AND COMUTER SYSTEMS FOR NOW, DOES ANYONE KNOW IFI CAN SWAP A 1st. OR 2nd. GENERATION CHEVY SMALL BLOCK INTO MY 93 Z28? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE IN THE SAME LOCATE AND IT MY CURRENT T56 TREMMAC TRANS. WILL BOLT UP TO THE OLD SCHOOL BLOCK. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS THE 1st LT1 ENGINGINE IN IT NOW. BUT I WANT TO GO OLD SCHOOL CHEVY CARURATED AND POSSABLY SUPERCHARGED. I HAVE THE 3.23 REAREND BUT ALSO HAVE A 4.10 AND A 4.56. MY SWAP ENGINE IS A EARLY 70's 400 cid 60 OVER STROKED COMPLETE ROLLERIZED WITH REV KITS CAM ROLLERBEARINGS SCAT CRANK ECT. I RAN IT HARD IN MY OLD CAR AND MAINTANING 7000 - 9000 rpm's ALL NIGHT WAS NO PROBLEM. COMP RATIO PROX.12.5-1 WAS RUNNING 108-115 OCTANE. WEET ENGINE WOULD LIKE TO USE IT AGAIN. ANY idea's ?

Re: 1993 engine swap
The LT1 is a Gen II small block. Mounts should be in the same location, as far as the tranny matching up, no idea. May need bellhousing adapter...
