Possible trans problem or not???

The problem start about 4 months ago. The problem is my 2000 chevy blazer is started and put into drive. I will depress the gas and will get going. To a point.... At 15 to 20 mph the blazer will start to sputer and remain at that speed. Then I will slow down quickly or slowly (doesn't matter how fast) and depress the gas again it will run fine. The only other time I will have a problem is when I fully accelerate the sputering will slightly come back and wont shift very easily. I have replaced the fuel filter and did a fuel cleaner already. I am looking for any one who might have a answer to this.

Re: Possible trans problem or not???

Welcome , don't know the mileage or recent things you've done, but quick checks- vac lines not rotted out check intake by PCV to the reservior and down (if 4wd) to actuator. Clean the MAF sensor in the intake with electronic spray or brake cleaner. Cap/rotor OK no tracks/arching inside. Depending on mileage plugs, wires, other sensors - any codes (SES light on?) need to post after free read at most auto stores. Let us know.

Re: Possible trans problem or not???

i have a similar problem ive had a new rearend trans and transfercase done on my 02 blazer ive herad this noise a few times now it only happens when doingabout 75 80 mph i start hearing a whining noise almost like a supercharger mixed with a metal on metal screaching noise
when i slow down it gets louder and the tone gets deeper as it decrases in speed i getto about 15 mph hit the 4hi button and it goes clunk into 4wd and the noise goes away what the hell is up with this ive also noticed that when in 2wd my front driveshaft spins while moving (is this normal) ive heard people say yes but i work at an instant lube and have the chance tosee underneath vechiles while thererolling and ive seen the same truck as mines (more than one) and when they roll out the front shatf isnt turning ihavent had all these problems since the new transfer was put in
