2500hd Inner Tie rod

I have a 2500 HD 2001 with what I think to be inner tierod issues, Can someone direct me in how to remove these for replacement? What is under the rubber boot on these?

these tie rod boots are the problem as the metal retainer rusts out then the water gets in to destoy the joint....remove the seal out of the way....you now need a big wrench for the tie rod nut on the end about 1 -3/8inch...then with a small torch heat up the linkage where this is screwed in,,,then unscrew the tie rod....

obviously you should remove the outer end first,,,

when installing use medium lock tight,,,torque to 70 ft lbs approx...I used tie raps to secure the rubber boots,,,grease first then tierap boots..

then you must get the toe adjusted....to get this close adjust the tierods so that the distance between the front tires is the same frt/rear. steering wheel straight ..
