Re: no where i can get a 70ish 240 z

You'd go with the supra motor over the rb motor? The rb is nissans equal to the supra (I believe its 2jzgte). It would still be a nissan motor in a nissan.....

or go all out jdm corvette small block chevy....
Sorry but I'd be going for the rb.. An rb25det can be had for about 2,000 and if you have the tools and know how the fab of everything else wouldn't cost much different. Or if you have the $$$$ go rb26dett with a front clip at about 4500 you get some extra goodies... And at only 20 you got a long time to make a legend..............

Good luck on any note of what you choose to do...

Re: no where i can get a 70ish 240 z

ok well here's the only problem u run into with an rb motor. none of the inline 6's with turbo's were imported to america(to my knowledge, well other than a gtr.). so now ur talking 2g for the engine. then shipping. then because it's a turbo or twin turbo u need the plumbing and the intercoolers. a lovely 5g or so when all is said and done. then add the cost to install it.

my ex's mom's bf has a 240z sitting in his yard...yellow really nice except the blown motor

the only 70's z i ever saw for sale was a 79, with 79,000 original miles. he wanted 10g. it was opted for its yr and had nothing new in it...all original.

i have a 76 280 Z CAR 2 seater for sale the body is really rough and the brakes are shot . It will fly though motor is 2.8 liter straight 6, fuel injection, bored 80 over, erson cam, hooker header and flowmaster exhaust. comes with more parts and a clear title. 4 speed all it needs is body work to fixthe typical datsun rust issues. I am new to this site but have owned 7 z cars, 4 altimas,3 maximas, and 3 nissan trucks. I bleed nissan/datsun, but now have moved own to american muscle. just got a 86 olds cutlass 442 w only 50000 actual miles. I will take $900 OBO for datsun you come and get it.

Re: no where i can get a 70ish 240 z

thanks, but I made the decision that I don't need one right now... it came down to university of hawaii and deep sea fishing every weekend with my uncles, or a z car, and though it was a clost race, hawaii won out(cause my camera really likes the place) like I sid, thanks anyway.
