Can the average person engine swap???
Can the average person do their own SR20DET or RB26DETT swap???
i put in intake and sound system in my car, but u think i can do the engine swap all by myself??? *picks up the heavy RB engine with 2 hands* :smoka: |

I would have to say...HELLS NO!
It's easy to put it in...but the hard part is the wiring harness...making everything work and link up...the S13 info is out there to do it...and the S14 stuff is as well (not as readily accessible though) and sometimes ppl want you to pay money for that info... You can always have a shop do it for you...but get a reputable one and one that will tune it for you b4 giving it to you...you dont want it to run like crap after you just dropped alot of money. Unstable Hybrids rank the SR swap as a 5 in difficulty which means not too hard but not too easy...the RB26DETT into the 240SX is possible but they rank it as an 11...so I'd steer clear unless you got money to burn |

You can do everything yourself, but people that have done it recommend you have the harness converted by a specialist
