05 xterrs se 58k clicking from front

hello I have a a problem with my 2005 xterra se 4wd
when driving slow with the window down of course I
here what sounds like a rock/stone stuck in my tread
but theres no rock . just a ticking/clicking sound
even when the brakes are applied its still there
only at low speeds sounds like its coming from
the drivers side (where the axle goes into the
front gear housing) this happens in 2wd only
my warranty is up too.. great right?
anyone with this problem? can help?

Drivetrain warranty should be 5 years, 60,000 miles.

nissan changed my rear driveshaft that didnt solve the problem noise is still
there coasting at 8-12mph louder when truck is cold but can hear it
all the time click click click drivers front wheel. now have 60,545k miles
help

Are you sure that it is coming from the wheel? Common problem on those models is a bad idler pulley. Just something to consider...
