Help!!

92 voyager van has been setting for several months, got running went to move and right rear wheel was locked up, put into 1st gear to slowly move van and finally freed up, went to put lever back into park and it will not budge, stuck in low gear, turned off engine and ignition won't return to off position in order to get key out, tried working lever and key together to free up lever or remove key, but no luck, front wheels are not locked, they will turn, any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Help!!

Sounds like your gear shift cable has rusted or stuck. I'd suggest disconnecting it from the tranny and seeing if it will move when you move the shifter. If not it's the cable. Replace it. If it does moves as it's suppose to, then you have an iternal tranny problem with the shifter. The key can not be removed until the shifter is returned to the park position.
