Programing Automatic Door Locks

Programing the Automatic Door Locks is a standard feature intended to provide enhanced security and convenience by automaticly locking and unlocking the doors. The locking & unlocking of the doors occur if the ignition key is turned to ON and the drivers door is closed when the vehicle is shifted out of Park(P). One of four operating modes may be selected and programed by the driver.

- Mode 1 : All doors automaticly lock when the trans is shifted out of Park. The doors will remain locked unless manually unlocked by the lock button. All doors will unlock when the trans is shifted into Park and the key is turned OFF.

- Mode 2: This mode is only available with the remote keyless entry transmitter. All doors automaticly lock when the trans is shifted out of Park. Automatic drivers door only unlocks whne the trans is shifted inot Park and the key is turned OFF.

- Mode 3: All Doors automaticly lock when the trans is shifted out of Park. No automatic door unlock.

- Mode 4: No automatic door lock or unlock.

Disconnecting the vehicles battery will not effect these features of the Automatic door lock.

To Program these modes:
1 - Press and hold the LOCK on the power door lock switch for 10 seconds.
2 - Count the number of Chimes you hear. The number of chimes tells you which mode your vehicle is in. You can change the mode by pressing and holding Lock on th epoewr door lock switch, 2 chimes for mode 2, 3 chimes for mode 3, and 4 chimes for mode 4.

3 - Repeat Step 1 untill you hear the number of chimes that matches the mode you want.

The mode you selected is now set
