60 Red Years Group Build: Ferrari 250 TRI/61

I actually started building this model two months early, but with Tang's kind permission i enter this model to the Group build.

Model is built from MFH Ferrari 250 TRI/61 "High Tail" kit. It is built mostly box stock, if it is even appropriate to say so with these kits. Only modifications were number lights, which i replaced with Sakatsu items, and one turned aluminium switch on the dashboard.

Interior, engine and other in progress pics can be seen here.

Great job. The side view show all the originality of the subject, very strange stuff, some classic Ferraris show "perfection" like the 250 SWB, the GTO, the 275 GTB, the GT California, the 330P4, the 206sp very hard to improove those designs. This one seem a collage of spare parts but show also a racing functional design: amazing.

And amazing job aon the 1st Hiro too: soo how about the next one?

Nice

If I'm not mistaken I saw the 1:1 at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance last year. Veyron would know for sure.

That's a great way to start off the "60 Years" commemoration, Niko

Great build of an unusual and rarely seen subject

Re: 60 Red Years Group Build: Ferrari 250 TRI/61

I love seeing this classy build-up of one of the truly great Ferraris. I have an old record called "Sports Car Caravan" that's just sound recordings from Sebring and the Nassau Speedweeks in the early 60's, and this car was amongst those recorded.

I tell you what, if I had the built-up, I'd probably set it in its case atop the speaker, throw the album on the turntable, and really bring it to life!

That's GORGEOUS!! I have to agree with gio on the design of this car, very original but amazing! I love it! Congrats Niko, both on the great works and the 1st place of the group build! How's the next one? 250LM or 312PB?

Turned out great, I must say that I don't like this Ferrari at all but modell looks just fantastic.
Great job on first MFH, I would be very proud if mine will come up even close to yours.
