Fuel Pump Problem
I have a 1996 sierra, 5.0L. My fuel pump will not shut off unless I pull the fuse or disconnect the battery. If I pull the fuel pump relay the pump continues to run. Any ideas?
Thanks, caper1996 |

There is an oil pressure switch on the engine that will cut off the pump if the oil pressure goes down. It might be shorted internally. It is not the one with one wire to the gauge. I would find the one with two wires and unplug them to see if it stops the pump. Bob B |
