When was last tune-up?
Check rotor and distributor cap and wires.
Any codes???
Do compression check.
Check intake for vaccum leak.

no compression on 5 and 6 or all clyinders?

Did you do a wet compression test also? (squirting oil into clyinder to see if rings are bad)

Squirt some oil thru the spark plug hole, enough to cover the rings on the piston and do compression test. If you have a increase in compression from the dry test the rings are leaking if not problem is in the valves or intake. I am more inclined to think you have a intake problem.

WHen you say 5th and 6th are you meaning the rear clyinder on the left side and rear clyinder on the right side of engine???

Would you explain which clyinders you mean by 5th and 6th??

Driver side clyinders are #1,3,5 (from radiator to firewall)
Passenger side are #2,4,6 (from radiator to firewall)
