warning lights
Do the bulbs for the warning lights such as seatbelt, check engine soon, anti-lock, etc go out? My seatbelt light hasn't come on in a long time. I know it's not a big deal, but if it's an easy fix, I'd like to do it.

Re: warning lights
sorry, i guess i could ellaborate a little. what you have to do is take the two plillips screws out in the drivers kick panel, and let it hang. Set the parking brake, put the gearshift (it its on the column) all the way down into 1st, you may need to turn the key to on. then gently but firmly start at the bottom of the trim and start pulling out. it should all pop out fairly hard, and you should end over by the radio. this is where yo first start to put it back on. You may need to do some tilting with the steering wheel to get it out, but it does come. I have never taken out the IP cluster in my car.... yet, but i assume its just held down by some (maybe 4) bolts, then the whole unit chouls just come out, and he bulbs are accessed from behind. Maybe instead of going to GM to get the bulbs, try a hardware store or radio shack first, as they might be cheaper and last longer. Even though they might be a couple bucks a bulb, I would recommend replacing all the bulbs at one time, as they are rated for 2000 hours i believe, and one one burns out, the rest aren't short to follow. Reassemble in the reverse order, and you should be good to go. While your there if you want to swap in an aftermarket cd player, now would be the time. 2 bolts and a couple plugs. Any more questions, let me know.

Re: warning lights
right under where your dash there are little 7mm bolts i believe, take those out, and pop the top of the dash off. i dont really know much from there, its been so long since i had my 90 lumina. may have to take out the heater controlls to gain access to screws, not sure though. sorry

Re: warning lights
It's actually quite easy. You have to take out the 5 screw-bolts that hold on the upper dash pad then remove it. After that it's just 4 screw-bolts that hold the cluster in. But you really don't even have to remove it to change the bulbs. It's easy as all hell in the older ones; I haven't dont it in a few months though since I upgraded my gauge cluster so I might be a little off in my numbers

Re: warning lights
maybe convert them to led lights, i know some places on the net could do that, and you could pick virtually any color, and they would never burn out. Something i've alwyas wanted to do.

Re: warning lights
I wanted to convert to LED's also, the only problem with that though, is getting the light to disperse evenly throughout the cluster because of how it's designed. You would nee ultra-wide dispersion LEDs. I've just been too lazy to look

I have the same laziness problem, I'll probably just replace them stock.

Re: warning lights
You have to have the picture you want to use hosted on a site like Photobucket or Cardomain. There are quite a few out there. Then edit your signature and and add .
