what is the recommed milage on timing chain replacement for a 1997 cheverolet cavalier

Do not let it go.If you let it go,you will have the cylinder head pulled.That's right,the valves bend.I have seen that happen,every valve bent.Is it a 2.2 or a 2.4 under the hood?
