95 Eldorado

I just bought a 95. It runs well so far but I am having an idle problem. When I start it up it idles erratically, and occasionally the engine will die. It smooths out after maybe 10 seconds or so, but it will do it again sometimes when I come to a stop. What could be the problem?

And also it is slow to start the first time of the day or when it has been sitting for an hour or longer. Any ideas?

Re: 95 Eldorado

I found the problem! It was a bad fuel pressure regulator. I found out how to check it, it was bad, and I replaced it. The car starts up like it should now and no more idle problem.
