Replacing Lifgate Interior Trim Panel
Just got an 03 Xterra. The interior side of the liftgate trim panel is busted and cracked. I'm not sure if the clips are still good so I'm going to just make the minimal investment and get new ones. I beleive my vehicle color code is kh3 and the clips are part # C101. I got the part number via a Nissan website.
Is there anything else I should know about making this change? I'm not very hands-on inclined so I just wanna make sure I don't screw things up! |

Remove the first aid kit straps first...

The online catalog lists Graphite, Dusk, and Sage as colors. I know my interior is GRAY. Which color would correspond to GRAY?

Thanks, thats what I was thinking. I figured the graphite was close to the charcoal. Anything to make things more difficult I say! |

How the heck do I drill holes accurately enough without ruining the new panel? Because of the shape of the recessed area, I can't even get a half decent measurement to compare to the old panle which does have holes. I just dont undersand why the damn thing doesnt come with pre-drilled holes in the first place. Any help would greatly appreciated before I go insane. |

Re: Replacing Lifgate Interior Trim Panel
Guess this could work:
Stick a wad of cotton in the hole in the hatch itself, leaving some of it poking out towards the trim panel. Put something on the cotton that will leave a mark on the trim panel, then put the panel in place. Take it back off, you should have marks to work with.
