4.0 v8i engine

The car run out of fuel and when start the engine again i have had some probelms. when the car first runs its fine but after a few miles it starts to pull back and loose power can you help.

when you run any vehicle with fuel injection out of gas, it is possible to pick up dirt in the fuel system. I would do a fuel pressure test on it. It is probably the fuel filter. Never run a vehicle out of gas! especially a fuel injected one. just one speck of dirt can plug an injector.

I have had a similiar problem with my ford ranger and I just replaced the fuel filter, (it needed it anyway i figured) and ran some Lucas gas treatment/injector cleaner thru it and was on my way again

Change your fuel filter and pour 2 Fuel-injector-cleaners in full tanks afterward. It'll get fixed.
