93 s-10 hard start

I have a 4.3 cpi and am having a hard time starting. I have to press the gas and it still takes about 10 cranks. once it starts it runs great. It has 170000 miles and I just did a major tune up. I replaced the fuel pump about 2 years ago and I replaced the fuel injection about a year and a half ago. Fuel mileage is great. Any help would be appreciated.

they are fine and I am getting spark when this is occuring. so I know it is probably fuel related. I don't want to replace the spider again, that's
pretty expensive.

Did you change the fuel filter?

Re: 93 s-10 hard start

Make sure the fuel pump runs when you first turn on the key. It gets its power through a fuel pump relay. If that relay is bad, the only way the fuel pump will run, is to get enough oil pressure. So a bad relay will cause hard starting.

I have checked the fuel pressure and it's between 55-61psi. I am running out of ideas except for that pesky spyder? Anymore ideas before I take the plunge with the injection master piece?
