The heat for some reason is killing my 89 crx si. Car will run fine in the mornings and evenings when its cool out but in the hot afternoons the check engine light will come on and the car will not start. Sometimes the check engin light will go off and the car will start up other times I just have to wait till its cool out again for the check engin light to go off so the car will start again. The ecu flashes no lights, I tried replacing the ecu with no luck the problem remained. Any suggestions of where to look next?

Re: heat vs my crx
The main fuel pump relay under the dash by the driver side chassis wall is the culprit. They mess up in hot weather and you can either air your car out or if it's totally screwed you can replace it. Somebody just said they sell them at NAPA so you don't have to spend too much money at the dealership.

Thanks for the reply. The dealer is the only one that has it in stock and its not that much more expensive. It was a little difficult to get out where they have it tucked in there. I put it in the house and let it cool off and when I plugged it back in it worked. While having it out I also noticed it procuces a clicking noise. This is the clicking noise I would listen for to know that the check engine light was going to turn off and my car was going to start. Now just to get to the dealer and get the new one.
