Angry 93 Grand Am Engine jerking after shifting

have 93 Grand AM SE, 2.3 Quad OHC, manual transmission. I have been having problem right after i shift gears, the engine tends to jerk if i accelerate too fast after I shift gear. I recently changed the fuel filter, air filter, and spark plug. Any suggestion to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I think you will find your problem lies with the clutch not the engine. Based on your description it sounds like either the disc is worn and not making good contact or the throw out bearing is not allowing it to make proper contact. Once it spins just enough to grab it is causing the jerking and then smooths out.
